Thanks to dmilks for pointing out my error below re: Hornsby. I knew I goofed not longer after I'd posted the review below..Vince was pretty on for this one..

Was also there for these shows and this one was just a real great time. I always enjoyed shows at the Knick, but this was my favorite. Great time with great friends. Some great stuff with Jerry and Hornsby, a killer Promised Land that showed some great Vince stuff..Scarlet-Fire..unreal..a must have

The soundboard quality is great, but you get the feel of the show from the aud copy
The parking lot scene post show was loads of fun as well..

great aud recording
energy? yes, it's pretty amp'd
just came off of listening to a summer74 - portland show -- what a difference 18 years makes...

this is a 92 sign along, with MIDI's all lit up - to be sure...but this is a REALLY fun show -- definitely play it and pass it on...

5/5 = 5

Subject: 3rd Favorite Show!!
This show ramks 3rd best I ever saw behind 6/17/91 and 6/14/91. Unfortunately there were many forgettable shows (out of 75) later in the 90's. This AUD is probably better than the SBD. Jerry's midi horn guitar jams are in top form during the Scarlet > Fire. Some of the best jams of the year, maybe the decade considering we're talking about the 90's. Check out the transition between the Scarlet and the Fire. SICK!!! Nice China Doll into a rippin' Sugar Magnolia. I remember going nuts during the Sugar Mag. Get the AUD before the SBD.

5 stars for the performance. I was there. loved it then, love it now. I recommend the AUD version over the SBD, b/c I believe the SBD is sped up.

P.S.- the gain gets cranked up during Jack Straw, so give the sound a couple minutes to get settled.

note to jhender501: Hornsby was not present for these shows. Only Wince (I mean Vince). Hornsby's official tenure with the Dead ended on 3-24-92 at The Palace.

Subject: GREAT sounding recording
quoted: "if you're like me (spoiled) the quality of this recording lacks, don't bother. 5 for the show and 3 for the sound."

no way. this is one of my reference discs. its a GREAT sounding ambient recording. awesome punch and detail.

the FOTM brings me to tears sometimes just because its so fun and brings back so many memories. Jerry shreds that first solo!

Subject: albany rocks
although I don't care for this sound quality, albany always rocks! (except for 95') this was my 3rd run in albany and my favorite east coast venue. if you're like me (spoiled) the quality of this recording lacks, don't bother. 5 for the show and 3 for the sound.
